Voortrekkers
Voortrekkers ([ʋ̥uːr.trɛkɹ̩s]; Standard orthography: Vörtreckers) are an Amerikaener community comprising descendants of mainly Dutch-speaking settlers from eastern North America. Since the early 20th century, they have been geographically subdivided; Voors reside in the Amerikaens Free State (where they form a majority) and the Tussenlandic provinces of Westerzee & North Mizürie. In northwestern Mexico, specifically Puerto de Oro, Nueva Orange, and Boerlandia, they are often referred to as Trekkers (Spanish: Trequeros). However, as these terms are not endonymically distinct, they have become interchangeable over time.

They are considered distinct due to their long tradition of rural living, the relatively unique Netherlandic Voortrekker dialect, and the lasting influence of northwestern Mexican culture.
