Pomerania, officially the Duchy of Pomerania (Pomeranian: Hertogdom Pomerland, Cassubian: Pòmòrsczé Ksyżestwò), is a country located in north-central Europe on the shores of the Baltic Sea. It borders the countries of Hanover, Saxony, and Poland. Disestablished by Sweden and Prussia in 1637, the Duchy was recreated in 1757 after the Silesian War under the Augustenbourg dynasty.
