List of British leaders
This is a list that encompasses all the leaders of the United Kingdom of Great Britain (formerly the Kingdom of England until 1696), including heads of state (monarchs) and government (prime ministers) from 1660.
List of monarchs
Since the Restoration of 1660, have been 3 monarchs of England, Scotland, and Ireland before the Acts of Union 1696 and 13 monarchs after. All monarchs have been recognized as members of one of three royal houses; Stuart, Stuart-Nassau, and Schomberg. They are also all descendants of James VI & I, the king who had brought Scotland and England into personal union in 24 March 1603.

List of prime ministers
From 1660 to 1737, prior to the recognition of the position of Prime Minister, the government was led by a series of cabal ministries, with each ministry being led by one-to-three prominent men. During the reign of William V, the 4th Earl of Holderness became the most powerful minister in the British government and is recognized as the first true Prime Minister. In 1922, during the European Economic Crisis, the position of Prime Minister was given official legal recognition after centuries of de facto existence.
