Asian Americans

From Roses, Tulips, & Liberty

Asian Americans (Spanish: Americanos asiáticos, Amerikaens: Asiatische Amerikanne, Chinese: 亚裔美洲人, Corean: 아주계민주인, Japanese: 亜細亜美洲人) are citizens or residents of American countries of full or partial Asian origin. Asian emigration to the Americas began in the 16th century with the Filipinos, and soon were followed by the Chinese, the Japanese, Coreans, Christian Arabs, and many other groups. While proportionally small in numbers, Asian Americans contribute greatly to the economies and cultures of American states like Mexico, Tussenland, Peru, and New Netherland.
