This is a list of doctrines - including political ideologies, philosophies, and religious movements - that have played a notable role from the 17th century onwards.

National republicanism

Core tenets

1. Belief in a national restoration through an overthrow of the old order and the creation of a national consciousness.
2. Lead by a political party that seeks to hold the national interest above everything else
3. Belief that both liberal democracy and conservative monarchism oppresses and weakens the nation and causes the people to become subservient to foreign interests
4. Self-sufficiency or autarky of the nation, strong protectionism while also embracing modernisation and development
5. Nationalisation of core industries
6. Belief that colonialism violates the integrity of nations for the sake of profit

Development

American Spring of Nations

National republicanism became established as a legitimized political system during the American Spring of Nations in the early 20th century, stemming from the radical republicanism and anti-monarchism of this era.

Communardism

Origins

Following the Augustine Wars, ideologies such as Eutopianism gain popularity with the European middle class, although mainly in Britain, who believe that Republicanism and the belief of individual liberty should also be applied to econonimcs. In 1861 revolutionary leader and political theorist Raphaël Dezon founded the Société des Amis de la République, a merger of various radical laborist organizations. He would add on several of his theories to Blancist Communardism. His main addition was the theory of a reactionary action by the 'proletarian international' and that the goal of Comunardism was the liberation of the Proletarians class by taking control of the state.

Development

Revolutions of the 1870s

By the 1870s, Communardism would spread across France, jumping from many of France's intellectualsand group to the public eye. The concept would win over the French public. In 1873, King Louis would be assassinated, sparking a political crisis in France

Success in France

Shortly after the death of King Louis, his heir would also die from an falling accident. With the Bourbon line dying out and in crisis, the radical communard party, the Société des Amis de la République would take power with the power vacume consuming France. They would soon establish the Communard Republic of France.
