Die turbulente jaeren

The war on crime is better known in Nieuw Nederland as the Turbulente Jaeren, which refers to the period starting roughly in the 1910s and lasting all the way up to the 1960s, organized crime across Nieuw Nederland gained more influence, grew and eventually was destroyed. It is often said that in that period, NNL was at war with itself, it often saw gang battles ensue throughout its major cities, all the while the police and later the Guard fought hard against the gangs. It only ended throughout a period of social policies, intense fighting and according to some mass murder.
