Ideas:

So the languages of the blessed isles I was thinking the lingua franca would be Genoan or Tuscan while the home languages would be: (1) Maltese for the urban San Giovannis who fled from Malta (2) Blessed Patwa for the mostly rural Afro-Caribbean former slaves (3) Spanish for the recent mostly urban immigrants from Latin America
