Opdamsland was created after the Great American Boer War in 1903 as a buffer state between Mexico and Tussenland. It is the only North American nation that is landlocked. Due to differing cultures, their relation with South Tussenland was tense during the 1900s, but in the 21st century, they have secured trade agreements allowing them to use South Tussenland's ports.
