Stondthem
From Roses, Tulips, & Liberty
Stondthem ('topic of the hour' in Amerikaens) is a term which refers to a subculture and social group that flourished in New Amsterdam from the 1940s to the 1970s, reaching a peak in the 1960s. Across the Amerikaener world, the word is sometimes extended to refer to the entire generation of urban young people born during and shortly after the Great War. They were known for their love of drons, affinity for alcohol and drugs, and novel socioeconomic views (as represented by the rise of the Chrematic and Leidenite schools).
